Challenge

Global’s re-brand initiative included a colorful new logo and placed a strong emphasis on unique branch design to support and showcase their strategic vision and community initiative; encouraging people to become “Global Citizens” by saving money and giving back to the community. Design Source was appointed to create an innovative, cost effective branch design solution within an existing branch footprint and within a three month time frame

Solution

Simple forms and bold accent colors established the design foundation. A large semi-circular customer service/interaction area evolved as the focal point of the branch. Private meeting rooms and teller line frame the space and strong geometric ceiling elements define transaction areas. Large wall areas are available for rotating original artwork displays. Fresh, deep hued colors implemented with restraint throughout the space appeal to the credit unions younger target market. Overall, the branch design perfectly supports GCU CEO, Jack Fallis’s message: “We're very, very optimistic about the future and excited about where we're going."
